It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if not provided the chance.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia giving up 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to create her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after her country couldn't capture either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her bow and seven global championships have resulted from 10 efforts across formats.

The tough gloveman was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India briefly halted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Some will argue the argument supporting championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was much more difficult to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a challenging time because I feel like I've had no rhythm completely," commented Healy.

"Yet the moment you step out on the field, your fighting spirit take over and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her great strength - and a priceless quality in taking over from iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from that point Healy was on her way.

"The possibility to take the field and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was out the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if necessary, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at an important competition.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated through the pain.

But while she later admitted those fitness problems have pushed back plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Triumph in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
